How colour tinting works at Metumi

1. Choose the chart code — browse our online colour charts or bring a printed Crown / DuraCoat fan. Codes beat phone photos of painted walls under fluorescent shop lights.

3. Confirm the base — light, medium or deep tint bases change how far a shade can go. We will not force a deep burgundy into a white economy base; we upgrade the base first and tell you the KES difference.
4. Mix, shake, label — formula reference goes on the tin so your painter can reorder 4L touch-up packs three months later without guessing.
5. Pickup or dispatch — carry out the same day, or fold tinted drums into a Nairobi metro delivery or bulk site order.

Payment is Cash, M-Pesa or bank transfer against the quote. Trading hours are Monday to Saturday, 8AM–6PM. Sunday tinting is not standard; urgent contractor batches should be booked on Saturday morning.

Brands and finishes we tint every week

Crown Vinylsilk remains the workhorse for Nairobi living areas and corridors where scrubbability matters. Vinymatt and flatter matt systems suit ceilings and low-sheen schemes that hide plaster waves. Rough planning still starts from surface area: interior emulsion often lands around 10–14 m² per litre per coat depending on porosity and colour depth; deep reds and yellows may need an extra coat. Exterior masonry systems vary with texture — bagged roughcast eats paint.
